Well so far this month has been a bit bad for gas. Due to a bunch of refineries being down a lot of southeast states keep running out. Up here i have noticed a few gas stations being out but nothing epic yet. I hope this is remedied soon as the gas starts pumping again. People freaking out has caused the most damage so far. People who do not even need gas are rushing to the pumps in fear. This is causing more people to freak and the stations get pounded in return.

They had a picture of the chocolate chip cookies sitting next to the cup of coffee.
One last thing that I wonder about is why eating establishments choose one soda company over the other. As a consumer if I want a drink I go to Taco Bell or KFC just because they offer Pepsi there. I hate Coke, but I know a lot of people hate Pepsi. How do these places decide which one to go with? Are there some kind of perks that you get if you go with one or the other? I know that a lot of times it will decide where I am going to eat, and they have to take that into account as well.

I often wonder where this degree is going to take me. I would like to work with some kind of advertising firm, but I imagine to get anywhere you have to have a bunch of experience. I know that I have to start at the bottom of the totem pole, but shouldn’t the $20,000 that I spent on college be worth something? I only get a grace period on my student loan of 6 months. I should be able to cover the payments for my school and then some with whatever job I get or it was not really worth it.
It was always burned into my brain that if I went to college that I would get a great job and not have to worry like a lot of people are worrying right now. Right now with the economy the way that it is here I could probably only get a McMarketing job… that is asking someone if they would like fries with that or if they would like to super size their meal.
I am trying to be optimistic about the job finding process, but after looking at the different job sites online it looks like I would have to either relocate or take some kind of job that is not related to my marketing degree. I wish that I would have done more research about what kind of jobs were going to be available before I picked my major.
Take my advice if you are going to college make sure whatever major you choose has available jobs.
I want to know exactly how books are marketed. I know that every best seller that I have ever bought was totally due to word of mouth. This cannot be the only marketing that they use for books. I do not really see commercials for books or anything like that, so what do they do? I know it would be big business if you got the book that you were marketing into Oprah’s book club or something, but I imagine that is pretty hard. How do they do it?
I remember when I was little that I had a baseball glove that was signed by Reggie Jackson, but not really. It had his signature on it, but it was in silver and mass produced. I imagine that they can actually charge more once a glove has been endorsed like this. I think that is a really great marketing strategy. My glove might be worth something today if I did not use it to play back then.
I was just thinking the other day as I sat doing my marketing homework that the best way to gain a customer is to offer promotional items. Let me explain my train of thought. Apparently some guy, thought a hotpocket was worth stabbing his brother. 2 brothers got into it over a hotpocket and one stabbed the other. I don’t really comprehend this. Maybe over some pizza rolls but a hotpocket. They are completely nasty and i would bicker about one let alone try and kill someone. A klondike bar is even worth some violence but a hotpocket is the absolute worst food created. Third world children even refuse them.
