People take this shrewd piece of information as fact and it is pretty absurd. Some people think by giving external links that it hurts their own PR. External links from your site has nothing to do with your PR. If you have 10 external links on a PR5 site you are dividing the PR you send out by 10. If you give a hundred links you are dividing it by 100. Yet this does not harm your PR, you are not giving yours away, you use your clout to vote for other sites. Nothing more. so by having more links your vote does not count as high but you do not hurt yourself in anyway. You could trade 10,000 links and still have great PR, your site would be full of crap and look bad but it would hurt you none..

Another blog ad company i took a test run on was Pay Per Post. I got a coupon from a forum a while back so i gave it a try. You have a lot of control over your posts, what PR they go on, what Alexa range and categories. They charge a 1/3 charge on whatever the bloggers get. It was a nice run and also helped PR and SERPS. Once again it helps drive some traffic if you get decent blogs. They also have PPP Direct if you are looking for specific blogs. It is actually a lot cheaper if you go that route.

I ran a few AdBrite campaigns. If you are advertising it is only good for foreign traffic really. And for a publisher you have to have an insane amount of traffic and clicks to do any real damage. If you are trying to get traffic but do not care about quality then it is a great way to go. There is far better ways to spend money on advertising and i would suggest you dodge that bullet.

This is a nifty little program that allows you to earn points from links and you can use them to get thousands of other links in return. This is a cheap looking banner but their program is decent. They have to many Russian sites but it all works for PR.

Check them out and see if you dig it. Works flawless on WP sites with decent PR.

The all time best way to get PR and Serps is trading links. If you can find webmasters with sucesful sites who do not know what PR is and you trade relevant links you can jump so high in PR and in SERPs. Say someone has a PR6 and you have a PR1 site and they don’t realize what PR is then they will likely trade you and it is so much better for you than them. That PR6 link will jump you to a PR4 if not even a PR5. Trade as many as you can.

One of the better experiments i have a ran is with PayU2Blog. I cost a few dollars per post you run but it is great for SEO and to drive some traffic. It is freeform so the basically write a story surrounding your keyword or phrase. With a small campaign i ran i got a boost in PR and boosted up in my keywords.

I recently did a run with Text Link Ads and got a $100 free and got that when i paid $25. It worked pretty good for me so i figured i would share the information. I went through and got a few Text Links and i got a few in post ads to help the PR of one of my sites. So far so good and worth getting the free links.
